April: Flea Control

The adult fleas you may see on your pet are only the tip of the infestation iceberg. Immature stages (eggs, larvae, and pupae) may lurk in and around your home. They’re hard to see, but may be found anywhere an infested pet has been. They may thrive unseen in many areas of the home, such as carpets, bedding and cracks in flooring.

While dogs with fleas usually scratch, cats often lick and groom themselves in an attempt to rid their coats of fleas. If you have both dogs and cats, make sure all pets are treated monthly to ensure full flea control.

We strongly recommend using Frontline products. Frontline Plus spreads over a treated pet’s body by a process called translocation. When applied, Frontline is distributed over the body by pet’s natural skin oils, collecting as a reservoir in the oils glands in the skin. Within 24-48 hours of application, Frontline kills up to 100% of fleas on your dog or cat and keeps killing fleas and ticks for at least 4 weeks – even when your pet swims or gets bathed.
